Harrison, Steve and Janine King

Links to the list have been added for potters with images of marks published in the Journal of Australian Ceramics, 49/1. This issue was dedicated to wood-firing, and we now have a good number of wood-firers’ marks added to those already there. Most of these potters have been practicing for some time, so their current marks may not reflect a full history of their work. For example, before adopting their ‘LLP’ mark for Loopline Pottery, Steve Harrison and Janine King used an impressed ‘JRP’ for Jenner Road Pottery, where they lived and worked in 1975 and 1976. What makes this project so satisfying is that one of the members of the Identifying Pottery Group was able to find an example of the mark in their own collection, solving a long-standing mystery.
